The lightweight COMPOSHAFT® compensates radial, axial, and angular misalignments. Drivetrain systems benefit from low, almost linear reaction forces as well as from the highest torque transmission with the best dynamic behavior. Further advantages are electrical insulation and non-magnetic properties. Even under extreme conditions, the highest shock resistance of this coupling is a great benefit.
The membranes and the intermediate shaft are bolted together at the flanges with fitted bolts. By using variable thickness spacers, installation tolerances and the centering recess can be compensated. Pre-stressed screws are used to connect the membranes to the driving and driven components. The membranes can be tailored to any required geometric and structural parameter. With this modular design, the COMPOSHAFT® covers a wide range of different applications.
